Hampton Inn, Oakwood Hills Ohio, October 2018

We stayed one night at the Hampton Inn in Oakwood Hills Ohio on a Wednesday in early October. The hotel is conveniently located right off I-270 with easy highway access. We arrived late around 9:30 pm so check in was not a problem, desk staff were cordial and efficient. This hotel appears to be fairly new so the lobby and common areas were very clean and all furnishings were new and up to date. We took the elevator to the 3rd floor and found our room. Hampton must be trying to update their look as the room seemed “trendier” and had more character than most Hamptons we stay at. The room was very clean, perhaps because the hotel is new, and there were no apparent wear or tear. The furnishings and decor were nice and the king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was standard Hampton with the only oddity being the door. It was actually a sliding barn door which I thought was kinda of cool but my wife didn’t like because there was a gap between the wall and the door. We slept well after a long day of travel and the room was quiet, we didn’t really hear any other activity at all . The climate control worked well holding the temperature at the 67 degrees and running quietly. Breakfast was the standard Hampton faire, ok to start the day but not what I would consider a real breakfast. Overall for the 12 hours we spent here it was a good stay and we would stay here again.

Hampton Inn, Sunset Hills Mo. October 2018

We stayed 1 night while heading to Branson in October 2018. Arrival was at around 5 pm and the hotel is located in a busy area south of St Louis with a lot of retail surrounding the hotel. It was easy to get to off  Interstate 44. Check in was ok but the girl working the desk seemed disinterested and was not very friendly. The interior of this hotel needs a remodel it is dingy and dated. We made our way to the  floor where our room was located and immediately noticed that all the room numbers were laying on the floor so perhaps they are starting a renovation. The room was also kind of dingy and dated but beyond that a standard Hampton room. The television didn’t work so we had to call down for repair, they sent someone up immediately and it was just a loose cable. The room was quiet and we slept well on the Hampton bed. There was a small refrigerator which was nice. Check out was fine and we were on our way. If we are ever in this area again we would probably look elsewhere for accomadations.
